Standards
The current COBOL standard, ISO/IEC 1989:2002, was approved in September 2002 and published by ISO in December 2002. National body editions might be available.
WG4 is planning a revision of ISO/IEC 1989:2002.
Technical Reports
The following technical report have been published or are in progress:
- TR 19755, Object Finalization for Programming Language COBOL, was published in May 2003.
- DTR 24716, Native COBOL syntax for XML support, has passed DTR ballot. WG4 is addressing ballot comments.
- DTR 24717, Collection Classes, has passed DTR ballot. WG4 will address ballot comments.
